Last week we studied all about matter in science. We learned that matter is everything around us, and that everything is either a solid, liquid, or gas. We brain stormed a lot of different solids, liquids, and gases and even tried out a couple of experiments.
We went outside (on a cold day as you can see) to watch what would happen when we added baking soda to vinegar with a balloon on top of the vinegar bottle. The result was GAS! The gas that was created in the bottle rose up and blew up the balloon. The kids LOVED it!
We also identified and labeled the solid, liquid, and gas that is used to create a coke float. Unfortunately I was only able to snap a couple of photos...my hands were full!
