Texas Day & Earth Day!

Sorry it's been a few weeks friends! The rush of Easter really tied me up for a while. BUT I'm back! Ready to share some photos from a couple of excited days/units we have finished.

As you know we were busy in March and the beginning of April learning all about Texas symbols and important battles of our state's history. We discussed the battle of the Alamo as well as the battle of San Jacinto. We had a blast on Texas Day eating the state dish: CHILI! and dressing in our best Texas gear.

Then we went into Earth Science. We have been discussing rocks and soil which I will be back later to share more on that. We celebrated Earth Day by reading The Lorax and making an Earth Day promise. They each wrote one thing that they promise to do to help our planet. We also had a little fun with water colors!

Be back sooner than last time to share more on our non-fiction writing adventures and Earth Science!
